about

This album was recorded in a small railway underpass at 137.8 ft above sea level at grid ref: TQ 69639 67405 at noon on 21st October 2012.

We released map coordinates on social media several hours before performing.

The location of the event was Cuxton, in Kent - a corruption of 'Cucula's Stone'. Cucula is thought to have been a Kentish tribal chieftain.

We chose this location for it's rich Saxon history.
A warrior's burial place was uncovered on these slopes during the construction of the railway in the mid-nineteenth century, along with many wonderful grave goods.
Numerous further burials were revealed with the building of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link.

Our aim was to transmit vibrations into the land, air, trees and rocks around us that still reverberate with the songs, cries, prayers and stories of those early Kentish tribespeople.
